Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior BAS accountant who has previous experience (2 years min) working in a NZ CA firm. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading, GAP Firm Advisory Partner of the Year 2024, 
mid-tier firm. Led and supported by an industry leader and experienced Directors as part of a social and collaborative team, you will be given the freedom to take ownership with plenty of room for growth and career development. 

Responsible for a compliance base, which includes reviewing financial statements, holding annual accounts meetings, and completing management reports - this client facing Senior Manager role requires you to pick up the phone, be hands on with and add your flavour on Business Development for both the firm and its’ clients.

What we’re looking for:

• Ideally a tertiary qualification in accounting or knowledge by experience with at least 24 months experience within an accounting / BAS focused role

• 2+ years’ experience working with Xero, Xero Practice Manager & Xero Tax

• Experience creating annual financial accounts using Xero and Xero workpapers

• Enjoy the challenge of managing and servicing client's needs face to face

• Strong communication skills and personable outlook

• MS Office Skills

• Available to work 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
